On Thursday September 29, 2016 at Play Bar in Surry Hills, Sydney Blue Note jazz-soul-gospel sensation Gregory Porter joined us for one of our most memorable In Conversation sessions to date. Gregory was interviewed by Groovescooter's Paris Pompor. With one of the most majestically powerful voices in modern jazz, but the gentlest of spirits, the singer had has both laughing and in tears with his candid stories of love, songwriting, facing racism and his amazing mother. Funny, insightful and generous (he stuck around to chat to many people afterwards) Gregory Porter also broke into song many times before and after the interview.
Co-presented by Universal Music Australia, Groovescooter, APRA AMCOS, Eastside Radio + BluesFest for Sydney Fringe Festival
All photos of the night were taken by photographer Rizwan Omar (www.cyanpepper.org)
