Forget about RuPaul’s Drag Race and dive into a messy night at Switch n’ Play, the New York destination for queer culture and the revamped art of drag. In this feature documentary about the collective, we meet burlesque performers and drag personas identifying as trans, femme and non-binary, as they put traditional drag houses and ballroom culture thru the blender in the spirit of John Waters and Divine. Screening before the feature is the World Premiere of a local short documentary, Love & Revolution, a tribute to Sydney’s Candy Royalle (RIP) – the butch queen, high priestess of poetry created by Sara Saleh.
