The Afrobrasiliana Crew – made up of tropical selectors Trevor Elchino Parkee, Tom Studdy, Jön McCulloch, Raphael Ramiriz Brasil (aka Astronafrica), Walking Fish and Paris Groovescooter – are back with another late night warehouse party at the Portugal Madeira Club in Marrickville. Just before celebrating our 3rd birthday, we stepped out from our club home PlayBar for our first late night warehouse session with Soundway‘s Miles Cleret and Bateria61 Grupo de Samba drummers and Brasilian dancers. The night went off. Now we’re back at the same venue with OYOBI – a live act whose sets fuse the percussive madness of West Africa and Rio’s Carnival, with the nightclub energy of Bogota, Cuban street parties and Berlin’s electronic underground.
