SUPER DUPER ALICE COOPER
WELCOME TO HIS NIGHTMARE

Groovescooter are back with another co-present at that truly independent, outsider screen-shocking symposium, the Sydney Underground Film Festival SUFF.

There can be only one Alice Cooper, a gender-bender name bestowed upon preacher’s son Vincent Furnier during a Ouija board-revelation of his previous life as a persecuted witch… or so the story goes. Since the 1970s, he has donned the distinctive long black hair and dark eye make-up, and coloured his on-stage antics with chicken slaughtering and other theatrics, claiming his place as the founding father of shock rock. This artfully made documentary of his crazy life dissects the fame and frenzy that followed in his wake. Sex, drugs and music are just the start of it. In interviews, clips and archival material spanning the very beginnings, to his headlining heydays and his endurance amongst new generations, Super Duper Alice Cooper wades through his dreams and welcomes viewers into his nightmares.
