SOUP – A pioneer of Australia’s hip hop and trip hop scene since the 1990s, Soup was the first artist signed to legendary label Creative Vibes and a founding member of pioneering outfit Fonke Knomaads, sharing stages with Def Wish Cast and Easybass. His critically acclaimed album Souperloops and beats for Sleek the Elite’s Sleekism received heavy radio rotation nationwide. Soup has worked along side and collaborated with DJ Blaze and Mighty Mi of Philadelphia’s The High & Mighty, remixing their latest record featuring Sadat X and MC Serch of 3rd Bass. An original member of the That’s Not An Edit collective, Soup continues to deliver dancefloor-ready 7-inch releases. This latest project reunites him with Groovescooter and marks his first solo 7-inch release on its 337 Records imprint. A sought-after DJ, Soup has played festivals including Big Day Out, Subsonic and Lost Paradise, the list goes on, alongside venues and events around the world. With decades of experience behind the decks and in the studio, he remains a vital force in underground music.
