After a couple of years talking with him about it and looking for the right space, Groovescooter are thrilled to announce the first solo exhibition by former Radio National Music Director and one of the original 1980s Double J crew, TIM RITCHIE.

From light-tripping abstracts to brutal architectural angles, acute observations to stunning panoramas, Tim’s photographs of early morning Sydney have become an unmissable feature of the daily social-media feeds for thousands of locals. Now Tim presents a specially selected collection of signed, one-off original prints displaying the breadth of his styles at Folonomo Gallery in Surry Hills, co-curated by Artemis Projects and presented by Groovescooter.

On Tuesday 13 September Tim will also be In Conversation with Groovescooter, sharing stories of a now lost-Sydney: a pre-dawn world where memory rather than photos recall characters spilling out of long-defunct inner-city clubs after his DJ sets.

Folonomo Gallery is a Profit for Purpose social enterprise that donates 100% of its gallery fee to charity. This means that 30% of artwork sales go to a cause that the exhibiting artists are passionate about. Tim Ritchie has chosen to support Animal Welfare League.
